| 9:01 am | January 18th I'm being released today. Most of the bandages are gone, and all I need to do is put some cream on the burns three times per day. All in all, I feel really lucky. Some of my friends are still in the Infirmary, healing. I'm sure I'll be right back after heading to Ravenclaw. I promised a couple of people I would bring back some sweets. Now I just need to get my hands on some sweets. |

| 7:12 pm | Jan 16th - 7:12pm This morning I awoke after a horrible, horrible nightmare about the fire at Vector Manor fourteen years ago. When I woke, I was covered in second and third degree burns. I was brought to the Infirmary (still not sure who brought me up this morning, but whoever you are, thank you) and have been mostly healed by a sticky paste and quite a few rolls of bandages. I looked like a mummy most of the day. The pain killers had me sleeping for most of the day, but I'm awake now, and think I might be able to eat something for supper. If anyone in the Infirmary wants to talk, I am here to listen. If anyone outside the Infirmary wants to come and visit me, I would love to have someone to talk to myself. |

| 4:00 pm | I owl-ordered a delivery of fresh flowers to brighten Vector Manor while I am away. Hopefully the House Elves will be able to keep them fresh with charms until I arrive home at the beginning of the summer, as the gardens still need quite a bit of work. I have ordered furniture for two more bedrooms, though I believe that is where I will stop. I have furnished three of the eight bedrooms thus far, as well I have taken the master bedroom for my own. Two of the bathrooms are in working order with new fixtures, and the kitchen appliances have all been replaced and updated. I am in need of a new dining room set, and all of the paintings must be replaced. The curtains over the windows and wall-hangings, as well. Unfortunately, I have lost our Vector Ancestry Tapestry to the fire and subsequent years of neglect. While I am thrilled that the renovation of Vector Manor is going smoothly (thanks to help from many wonderful friends) I will be glad when it is completed. It is such a daunting task, and I am not able to do the work I wish to do while I am here at school. |

| 10:17 am | Now that I'm of age, and have my parents' manor in my name, I'm staying there over the Christmas Holiday. The manor needs a lot of work, so I'll be rather busy. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a House Elf? |

| 9:01 am | In the spirit of inter-house unity, comradery with my fellow students, and general holiday merrymaking, I will accept the invitation from the Headmaster to attend this masquerade ball. I have read the commentary by said students about the requirement to have a date, and have come to the conclusion that attending with a person of the opposite gender is not necessarily mandatory, but falls into the realm of "normal" for such occasions. That being said, I will plan on attending by myself, unless someone would like to go with me. Oh, and I shall have to find a new dress. |

| 9:14 pm | The anniversary of my birth is in 10 days. I will come into my inheritance on the day I turn seventeen. I will be here at the school, however, and unable to go accept it at The Ministry. Perhaps I will go over Christmas Holiday. |

I am biting the bullet this morning and writing to Sirius. Wish me luck. I have an idea for our first front page story. Did you see the dinosaur running around with the parrot on his shoulder? Also, I would be good at writing Numerology Horoscopes. [/Private] I'm rather looking forward to the Halloween Feast this year. I do so enjoy jack-o-lanterns. I have done some research into the different traditions for All Saints around the world, and it's fascinating what different cultures will do on a similar holiday around a similar time. I feel that our version of Halloween is a blending of a bunch of different cultures' versions of the holiday, and I couldn't be happier with the mish-mash of traditions. | 9:19 pm | I'm not sure what to do with myself. I can't seem to concentrate on anything. I believe I re-read the same paragraph in my text a thousand times, and didn't realize it. My mind won't stop spinning around and around. I think I should take a nap, but sleep so far hasn't done much to help clear my head. Perhaps someone out there could give me something to do? |

| 10:51 am | What a terrible tragedy. I didn't foresee this happening, which is rather strange considering I keep track of the events at Hogwarts in my arinthmatic calculations. Something so large and so strange and so devastating would surely have come up in the numbers. Why didn't I see it? I shall have to go back and recalculate. Something is seriously amiss with my numbers. |

I am very much looking forward to getting to know some students outside of my house, I hope that everyone else is looking forward to the party as much as I am, or has decided to fill his or her evening with something he or she enjoys dearly. |

| 8:51 pm | Perhaps this party will be an opportunity for me to get out and meet people. It's funny that I've been at this school for over six years now, and yet I feel as if I only communicate with a small sampling of the student body. I think it's a shame, and would like to remedy the situation, but up until this morning I wasn't sure of how to do so. Also, the party will give me a chance to wear a set of my mother's old dress robes. They're beautiful, and they fit me perfectly. |
